Today is the fourth Day of Reflection. That in itself seems crazy. How can we possibly be four years on from the beginning of the pandemic.
The anniversary of the first UK lockdown, March 23, marked the inaugural Day of Reflection in 2021 but this year it moved to a new date, in line with the UK Commission on Covid Commemoration’s recommendation that the day be held on the first Sunday in March each year.
I was honoured to be asked to author a blog for Widowed and Young to make this day, to tell my story and what it’s been like over the last four years. You can read this blog at this link.
Today is a day for reflecting. For thinking about those we’ve lost and my thoughts are with everyone that has experience of what it was like to be bereaved during the pandemic and to be widowed young.
